Treatment for Anxiety and Depression

You may be experiencing increased levels of anxiety or depression after a significant event or an accumulation of ongoing life stressors. Although you are aware of habits or healthy coping skills that may help you, you have a hard time reaching for them, and when you do they don’t seem to be effective.

You may be in a cycle of anxiety where you are having trouble sleeping, and during the day you are unable to focus or complete daily tasks, which further increases your anxiety and difficulty in sleeping at night.

You may be here because you have a history of taking medication or are taking medication now but feel that this alone has not helped your anxiety or depression and you are looking for other ways to cope and manage your symptoms.

I believe therapy is a neutral and safe place for you to get support and guidance regarding your symptoms of depression and anxiety. The actual opportunity to even speak out loud about your feelings and experiences to someone who understands and not be judged is powerful.

As a social worker and therapist in private practice I have over 25 years experience working with depression, anxiety, and trauma. I have a clear understanding and approach in terms of evaluating, identifying the severity, and assisting you in creating a treatment plan to decrease your symptoms, and improve your quality of life.
